Mark is a mere youngster when compared to Jim, but yet again who isn't.  Mark began his rowing career at the University of Wisconsin in 1986 and has been active as a college rower (3 schools), as a sculler post college, as an assistant coach, boat builder sales representative, DI Varsity head coach, College club coach, masters club founder, NCAA and local regatta director as well as camp director for many master and junior coaches.  Mark had the great opportunity to row for and learn from some of the best coaches in the country including: Jim Dietz, Dave Kucik, Buzz Congram, Charlie Butt, Liz O'Learly and Igor Grinko.  Mark has developed a great passion for the sport as a lifelong activity and enjoys bringing his passion for the sport to every new rower he sees, young and old.  Mark currently lives in Oak Ridge TN with his wife Judy, son Hunter, Kaycee the black lab and new puppy Chase.
