Deland Sculling Camp Update

Four Camps- All For Fun!!

Winter Camp Report-  With 3 of the 4 Deland Camps finished and the final week in the south to begin this week I thought it was time to let everyone see some of the fun that goes on in Deland and at Hontoon Resort.

This year has been a great season so far and we added a fourth date which was just a blast.  Only 6 rowers and 2 coaches took over the St. Johns and we had a blast.  Teaching, learning and excelling in 1x's with Swede and Mark following along.  New campers from Florida, Philly and Connecticut were on hand for the fun.  We were especially happy to have the Adaptive Woman's 1x sculler that represented the USA in Munich last year. What a treat!

Photos of all the camps are up on the website at

Camp Photos

So check them out and see friends standing in boats, playing with Manatees and hanging out on top the coaches Houseboat enjoying the sunset!!

Plan now for joining in the fun in 2008-2009 Season!

2008- 2009 Spring and Summer    Camp Dates

Spring and Summer Filling Fast

The upcoming year of traveling clinics is filling fast and we will be expanding our staff once again to keep the ratio of coach to rower low and meaningful for you the camper.

2008 will see All-American Rowing Camps traveling from Coast to Coast once again and we have camps planned in Philly, NY, Tennessee, Columbus, Oregon and are working on plans for camps in Kansas, Illinois, Washington DC as well as Washington state.

If you are a member of a club wishing to host a camp for 8 or more scullers or sweep rowers please contact Mark for details.  We can bring everything needed for a great weekend of on the water learning as well as the land training, cross training and even our own message therapist. Yes that's right. Judy was on trial at Hontoon this winter and she passed with flying colors.

Groups from 8 to 40 can be arranged and the more notice the better chance of getting your first date.

2008 Junior Camp Dates

2008 will see our first Traveling Juniors Camps and we are excited to make this option available.  What is important about crew? TEAMWORK, why send a few kids to here and there and have them come back rowing differently?  Have OUR Coaches come to Your Team and work with Your Coaches on the water and off the water.  We can help design training plans, cross training circuits and so much more.  Our coaches are either current or former college coaches so working and talking with talented high school rowers is what we love to do.  Call Mark for details.
